Ufa will host an Expanded Meeting of the General Council of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly and the Public Council of the Assembly Representation in the Republic of Bashkortostan

On Thursday, August 24, a joint expanded meeting of the General Council of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly and the Public Council of the Representation of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly in the Republic of Bashkortostan will be held in Ufa. The meeting will consider interim results of the activities of the organization's representative offices.

The expanded meeting will be attended by the Secretary General of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly, Doctor of Economics, Doctor of Political Sciences Andrey Belianinov, Prime Minister of the Government of Bashkortostan, Head of the Regional Representative Office of the Assembly Andrey Nazarov, First Deputy Secretary General, Head of the General Secretariat of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly, member of the Presidential Council of the Russian Federation for Interethnic Relations Svetlana Smirnova, Director of the SCO Center for Public Diplomacy in the Republic of Uzbekistan Kabuljon Sabirov, Director of the SCO Center for Public Diplomacy in the Russian Federation Stanislav Korolev, Chairman of the Council of the Association of Russian Diplomats Igor Khalevinsky, as well as members of the General Council. The meeting will be held in a hybrid format.

The Eurasian Peoples' Assembly continues to expand interaction with partners from different countries. So, in 2023, the Assembly representative office was opened in the Arab Republic of Egypt. It is planned to open representative offices in the Republic of Tunisia, the Kingdom of Bahrain, the Republic of Djibouti, the Lebanese Republic, and the Republic of Tajikistan. New members of the organization work in the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Madagascar, India, Tunisia and other countries. Organizational scaling requires coordination and sharing of best practices.

On the same day, the delegation of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly will take part in the International Sports Forum - Conference "EURASDIADA - the Path to Sports Cooperation of the Peoples of Eurasia in the Era of Global Change." The major experts in sports development will come together in a debate about the future of sports in Eurasia. The initiator of the project is the Representative Office of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly in the Republic of Bashkortostan.

On August 25, the work will be continued within the program of the I International Sports Games of National and Non-Olympic Sports "TOWARDS EURASIADA". The Secretary General of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly will take part in the Opening Ceremony of the Games.
