Belyaninov noted that many good payback projects that do not need budget funding have been implemented in the EAEU space.
BISHKEK, December 25 - Sputnik. The presence of other countries is an inevitable stage in the development of the Eurasian Economic Union, said Andrei Belyaninov, Secretary General of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly, Doctor of Economic and Political Sciences. He spoke at the video bridge Moscow - Bishkek - Minsk - Nur-Sultan “Eurasia Facing the Challenges of 2021”. The event was broadcast on Sputnik Kyrgyzstan's Facebook page and on the agency's website.
The journalist asked Belyaninov to what extend the union's financial institutions could provide loans to new and old beneficiaries against the background of the fact that more and more countries show interest in the EAEU.
“Firstly, there is always not enough money. On the other hand, when some bankers talk about a shortage of investment projects, they, it seems to me, are not entirely objective. There are many good payback projects in the EAEU that do not need budget funding. The presence of other countries in this format is an inevitable stage in the integration development,” - he said.
Belyaninov added that the benefits of this development are obvious.
“Everyone would be glad to see Uzbekistan as a participant. Other countries, as far as I know, are also knocking on this commission, the integration community. It will only be beneficial to everyone, this is obvious,” - he stressed.
Earlier at a press conference, Belyaninov said what Kyrgyzstan needs in order to attract serious investments and why the EAEU needs its own single technological platform for online communication.
