Russian Cultural Centers Abroad will share their Experience in International Space | July 16, 2021

On July 16, Astrakhan will host an online meeting "Russian culture in the international space (the experience of Russian language and Culture Centers abroad)".

The event will be held at the Krupskaya Regional Scientific Library. The meeting is organized by the partner of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly, the Caspian-Eurasia Center for International and Socio-Political Research, the Association of Youth Governments of Russia. In addition, it is supported by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Astrakhan Region and the Agency for International Relations of the Astrakhan Region.

The purpose of the online discussion is to develop educational and cultural ties in the Caspian, CIS and far abroad countries, as well as to support the Russian language and cultural environment abroad.

The agenda of the online meeting includes the following issues for discussion:

  • Russian culture and the Russian language in the international humanitarian space.
  • Russian language abroad: trends, challenges and points of growth.
  • Effective Tools for Transferring Russian Culture Abroad: The Experience of Russian Language and Culture Centers and Russian Communities.

The Minister of Culture and Tourism of the Astrakhan Region Olga Prokofieva, Deputy Head of the Agency for International Relations of the Astrakhan Region Ilya Toropitsyn, Director of the N.K. Krupskaya Regional Scientific Library Svetlana Ganina, Head of the Department for International Cooperation of the Association of Youth Governments of the Russian Federation Rinat Gubaidullaev, representative of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives in the Astrakhan region, Chairman of the regional branch of the Imperial Orthodox Palestine Society Alexander Soloviev are expected to take part in the event. In addition, the heads of the Centers of the Russian language and culture of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Serbia, Spain, Turkey and Morocco will take part in the event as speakers.
