The Regional Representation of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly in Bashkortostan supported the Republican Grappling Championship, which traditionally took place in the capital of the republic, the city of Ufa.
This time the competition attracted a record number of participants - more than 600 athletes from 32 sports clubs of Bashkortostan. This shows the popularity and interest in this sport.
Based on the results of the competition, the winners in the team competition were determined. In the category of boys and girls aged 12 to 20 years, the winner was the grappling department of the State Budgetary Institution the Olympic Reserve School, the second place was taken by the team of the Sport Club “Fighter” - ISLAM TEAM from Ufa, and the third place went to Yakudza Gym Premium, also from Ufa. In the “kimono” section among boys and girls aged 12 to 20 years, the team of Club “Fighter” - ISLAM TEAM from Ufa became the winner, the second place was taken by the grappling department of the State Budgetary Institution the Olympic Reserve School, and the third place went to the LION team from the Gafuriysky district.
Among children aged 8 to 11 years, the victory was won by the team of the Sports Club "Fighter" - ISLAM TEAM from Ufa, the second place was taken by the Yakudza Gym Premium team, also from Ufa, and the third place went to the Wrestlers Club "SPARTA" from the city of Salavat.
As noted by the executive secretary of the Representative Office of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly in the Republic of Bashkortostan, Dmitry Trapeznikov, the leadership of the Grappling Wrestling Federation in the republic has been members of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly for about four years, they are members of the Committee for the Support and Development of National and Non-Olympic Sports at the Representative Office, and are permanent participants in discussion round tables related to the support of sports in the region, in the country and in the international arena.
