The Representative Office of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly in the Leningrad Region launches a New International Project "Twin Cities - Winners"

The Representative Office of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly in the Leningrad region will present the International municipal twinning project “Twin Cities -Winners”. The project was initiated by the Representative Office of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly in the Leningrad Region under the leadership of the President of the regional public organization “Council for Interethnic Cooperation” Yuri Palamarchuk.

The main idea of the new initiative is to strengthen the ties and patriotic bonds of the settlements in Russia, Belarus and Mongolia, as iconic places of courage and heroism of the fighters against fascism during the Second World War.

The presentation of the project will take place on November 7, 2023 at 12:00 in the painting gallery of the Imperial Society for the Encouragement of the Arts Foundation, at the address: St. Petersburg, st. Shpalernaya, house 35.

Representatives of the executive and legislative authorities of the Leningrad region, the diplomatic mission of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in St. Petersburg and diplomatic missions of a number of countries, the secretariat of the SCO Business Council, the organizing committee of the BRICS+ IFF, the Russian Geographical Society, public figures, deputies and the media are invited to the event.

The beginning of the practical implementation of the project will be the visit on November 15-18, 2023 to the Republic of Belarus of a delegation of representatives of the public and local governments of the Leningrad region to sign an agreement on cooperation between the settlements of Russia and Belarus within the framework of the “Twin Cities - Winners” project.
