Project of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly "Victory for All": Working Meetings in Bulgaria

On March 1, in Sofia (Bulgaria), started working meetings of the Military Heritage Institute (Lithuania) representative Alexei Karpov with Russian diplomats and Bulgarian colleagues. The meetings are held as part of the presentation of the International Humanitarian Project of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly - the book “Victory for All” (on the participation of Bulgarian soldiers together with the soldiers of the Red Army in the liberation of the peoples of Yugoslavia, Hungary and Austria since September 1944).

On March 1, the presentation of the project took place at the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Bulgaria. The meeting was attended by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Russian Federation Eleonora Mitrofanova.

Within the framework of the project, for the first time, a website and a register of military memorial objects of the countries of the anti-Hitler coalition will be created, which will serve as the basis for the formation of a unified register of memorial objects in Europe

On March 2, the meeting took place at the Russian Center for Science and Culture. The meeting was attended by the head of the Russian House in Sofia Olga Shirokova, researcher at the section “History of Bulgaria after World War II”, Institute for Historical Research at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, Ph.D. Irina Yakimova, leader of the Bulgarian People's Union "Combat Friendship" Yavor Genov, professor at the Faculty of History of Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski Iskra Baeva. The initiative group proposed to create creative (working) teams to create a book in Russian, English and Bulgarian.
