A Meeting with a Delegation from Peru was held at the Headquarters of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly

On May 30, a delegation of representatives of authorities, business and education of the Republic of Peru visited the headquarters of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly in Moscow (Russia).

The delegation of the Republic of Peru:

  • Dr. Olinda Yaringaño Quispe, Founding Vice-President of the Peru-Russia Chamber of Development, Trade and Industry (CADECOMINPERU);
  • Dr. Luis Molina Almansa, Director of Training and Business Consulting of the Chamber of Development, Trade and Industry of Peru-Russia (CADECOMINPERU), Vice-President for International Relations of the Simon Bolivar State Technological University (IES Simon Bolivar);
  • Dr. Armando Alvarado Cerro, Dean of the National College of Industrial Relations and Human Resources, National Dean of the College of Educational Licensing, Representative of the National Council of Deans of Professional Colleges of Peru (CDCP).

The Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly was presented at the meeting by:

  • Andrey Belyaninov, Secretary General of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly;
  • Stanislav Korolev, Deputy Secretary General of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly;
  • Marina Plyasunova, Deputy Head of the General Secretariat of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly;
  • Alexander Ivanov, Co-Chairman of the Council for International Economic Activities of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly;
  • Alana Kochieva, Head of the Department for the Development of International Education and Partnership of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly.

The meeting discussed the following issues:

  • opening of a Representative Office of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly in the Republic of Peru;
  • cooperation in education (training students from Peru in Russian universities);
  • cooperation in tourism and culture;
  • possible cooperation in the field of import of medicines from the Russian Federation to Peru;
  • visit of the delegation of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly to the investment forum in Peru in September 2023;
  • creation of the Eurasian hotel and restaurant ratings;
  • creation of the Eurasian university rankings.

The Eurasian Peoples' Assembly and the Chamber of Development, Trade and Industry of Peru-Russia signed an agreement on cooperation.

The agreement was signed by the Secretary General of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly Andrey Belyaninov and the Vice President of the Chamber of Development, Trade and Industry of Peru-Russia Olinda Yaringaño Quispe.

The parties agreed to carry out interaction aimed at deepening partnerships between the peoples of different countries; increasing the role of public diplomacy in ensuring trust and mutual understanding between states; development of international relations, which are aimed at supporting public, state, peacekeeping initiatives; promoting the preservation of historical memory; promotion of topical historical research; joint implementation of socially significant programs, projects and cultural and educational events in the field of international cooperation.

The purpose of the agreement is to expand and strengthen international cooperation, as well as the exchange of accumulated experience and information in the following areas: tourism, commercial and industrial environment, exports, imports, finances, financial instruments, investments, innovations, state and public mechanisms to support entrepreneurs, measures to stimulate investment activity in different countries.

The Parties plan, in particular, to hold joint bilateral and multilateral business events, develop and implement educational programs, assist in the improvement of long-term and comprehensive trade, economic, scientific and technical ties between organizations and companies of different countries on the principles of reciprocity, participate in joint practical projects.

At the end of the meeting, Dr. Olinda Yaringaño Quispe noted:

“The Peru-Russia Chamber of Development, Trade and Industry was founded with the participation of private companies from Russia and Peru. We deal with different sectors such as healthcare, agriculture, education. We have close relationships with regional and municipal authorities. Our mission is to develop cooperation in business, we are also interested in education. Education in the Russian Federation is inexpensive for us compared to education in our country. In Peru, education is a luxury. We are very grateful for your attention to us. We are aiming for unity and hope that through this meeting we will establish appropriate links.”
