MOSCOW. August 8 this year, the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly presented the program «Happy child - happy family - happy country - happy world" at the Moscow Urban Forum. The lecture was delivered by Marina Volkova, Head of the Department of Happiness of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly, President of the Charitable Foundation "Give Good to the World".
“A happy child - a happy family - a happy country - a happy world” is a new program of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly. It is aimed at strengthening family values in society by attracting families to participate in educational, cultural, humanitarian events, forming good and trusting relationships.
In an interactive format, the psychologist, fairy tale therapist Irina Shubina and the head of the Department of Happiness of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly Marina Volkova discussed with the guests of the forum the issues of happiness: how it is understood by each individual and how it is connected with the understanding of "happy country" and "happy world".
“It was not just a presentation, but interactive communication. The happiness of parents is one of the key factors in the well-being of the country. This is due to the fact that happy parents can create a favorable atmosphere in the family, pass on positive attitudes and values to children that will contribute to the development of children and the formation of a healthy social environment,” notes Marina Volkova.
Special attention was paid to the understanding of happiness among adolescence.
“Understanding what content adolescents put into the concept of “happiness” is an important factor for adults and the key to creating conditions for their growth and self-realization, and hence for the development of the country. <…> Happy teenagers are often more active and ready to cooperate. They become good leaders and mentors to their peers, and are more likely to be willing to help others with problems. This increases the level of civic engagement and well-being of the country,” said the Head of the Department of Happiness of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly.
