First Deputy Secretary General of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly Svetlana Smirnova is on a working visit to the Republic of Uzbekistan

TASHKENT. First Deputy Secretary General - Head of the General Secretariat of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly, member of the Presidential Council of the Russian Federation for Interethnic Relations Svetlana Smirnova is on a working visit to the Republic of Uzbekistan.

July 27 this year Svetlana Smirnova held a number of working meetings with Uzbek partners. It was agreed to sign agreements and implement international projects in public diplomacy, science, culture, to strengthen cooperation in communication and work with youth.

“We met with the Chairman of the Economic Assembly of Uzbekistan Mukhtar Umarov. We agreed to continue our cooperation within the signed Agreement, including within the “Eurasia Entrepreneurs” project. We discussed a number of possible joint projects and agreed to sign a Cooperation Agreement with the President of the International Public Foundation "Woman of the East" Saodat Gafurovna Tursunbayeva and the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Foundation Sayyora Gafurovna Atabayeva. Also we discussed plans for the development of cooperation with the Chairman of the Council of the Assembly of the People of Kyrgyzstan Almambet Matubraimovich Matubraimov. An interesting and productive meeting was held with the Chairman of the “Yuksalish” National Movement Bobur Bekmurodov,” said the First Deputy Secretary General of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly.

July 28 this year Svetlana Konstantinovna will take part in the work of the International Conference dedicated to the International Day of Friendship - "The Role of Public Diplomacy in Strengthening Friendship Among Peoples", which will take place in the capital of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Tashkent.
