Eurasian Storytellers about their Vocation on the Eve of the XVI International Festival of Family Media Creativity "Sunflower"

On the eve of the XVI International Festival of Family Media Creativity "Sunflower", storytellers from different countries gathered at a round table called "Travel of a Fairy Tale. From Europe to Asia" at the website of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly.

Teachers, artists, writers talked about fairy tales. What kind of fairy tales do kids today need? What fairytale hero is especially relevant today? What is designing in a fairy-tale theme? Is it possible for young talents to choose fairy-tale-writing as their profession in the future?

Svetlana Smirnova, First Deputy Secretary General - Head of the General Secretariat of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly, addressed the participants of the round table with a welcoming speech. She noted the significance and importance of the fairy tale in raising children, in strengthening friendship.

The round table was the beginning of a big conversation about the role of fairy tales in kids’ lives in different countries. It launched the final stage of preparation for the International Festival of Family Media Creativity "Sunflower", which will be held in Izhevsk (Udmurtia, Russia) September 11 to 13. Real professionals in this sphere will gather to write a large book of fairy tales about happiness.
