On June 22, at its headquarters in Moscow, the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly held a working meeting was on cooperation in the scientific, educational and youth fields with the Association of Arab Universities, the Youth Union of Russian Universities and the Youth Union of Arab Universities. This meeting was another step towards strengthening friendship and partnership between the youth of Russia and the countries of the Arab world.
On behalf of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly, Dr. Yaser Allaham made a report on the educational programs that are being implemented as part of the organization’s activity. One of the recent events was the III Forum of the Federation of Rectors of Russian and Arab Universities in the UAE, as a result it was decided to develop and implement educational and outreach programs.
On behalf of the Youth Union of Russian Universities, the meeting was attended by the head of the Directorate for International Cooperation of RSSU Dmitry Nersesyan. He spoke about the university's international activities and international projects, including: "Preparatory Faculty for Foreign Citizens" - a program aimed at helping foreign students who want to get an education in our country adapt in the country; the "Consortium of Training Centers" is an international platform for the exchange of experience between organizations that implement the educational content of the RSSU.
From the Arab countries, the meeting was attended by Deputy Secretary General of the Association of Arab Universities from Jordan Wahib Karaji, and President of the Youth Union of Arab Universities, First Vice-Rector of Prince Mohammad bin Fahd University Faisal Al Anezi. During the discussion, the need to develop cooperation was rightly noted and the prospects for creating new joint projects were analyzed. 60% of the population of the Arab world are young people, who should be given the opportunity to develop and exchange experience with foreign specialists.
As a result of the meeting, an agreement was reached on signing a memorandum of cooperation between the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly and Prince Mohammad bin Fahd University. It will mark the beginning of long-term and fruitful work on joint projects.
During the meeting, the Festival of Youth of Russia and the Arab World was initiated. This project will allow Russian students to visit Saudi Arabia and learn about the history, culture and traditions of the Arab countries from leading experts. The Eurasian Peoples' Assembly will be one of the main organizers of the international educational program.
For their part, Prince Mohammad bin Fahd University and the Youth Union of Arab Universities are interested in attracting Russian students to participate in the implementation of cultural, educational and scientific projects and events that are held under the auspices of UNESCO and ISESCO.
