The many areas of activity of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly have yet another - large-scale work on disseminating Russian literature both in Russian and in translation; popularization of the Russian language abroad; representation of the Russian Federation at international book exhibitions and fairs. Activities in the international book market will be carried out by the Eurasian Book Agency, established by the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly.

“The main goal of our Eurasian Book Agency is the popularization of Russian literature, and also, perhaps, the key point is bilingualism. No one is stopping you from translating - from Arabic to Russian, from Russian to Arabic, from the languages of India - to Russian, and so on,” said the Secretary General of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly Andrei Belianinov, “The markets are quite open. However, we are one way or another under the influence of the media press when they say that a Russian abroad is not decent. It is not true! The demand for the Russian language is huge! They want to see, hear, read, empathize! We have hundreds of publishers of excellent children's literature. I'm not even talking about the new territories that are in need. The vacuum that has formed must be filled not only with textbooks and manuals, but also with normal literature recognized throughout the world. It is a cultural heritage of humanity!”

As noted by the director of the Eurasian Book Agency, Alexander Ostroverkh, the company also plans to search, translate and sell new books by foreign authors in Russia. In the long term there is also the implementation of our own publishing functions.

“We intend to build a whole system for distributing Russian literature abroad, including for our compatriots. We want to interact with business, attract ambassadors and foreign representatives,” shared the agency director. He also spoke about preparations for the presentation on the international book market of books by the Co-Chairman of the General Council of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly, member of the State Commission of the Russian Federation for UNESCO, famous poetess, politician and scientist Alexandra Ochirova. Many books and articles, recognition in literature and journalism, and contribution to international humanitarian cooperation became the basis for the appointment of Alexandra Vasilievna as UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador.

The main message of Alexandra Ochirova’s works is the importance of the human dimension in history and culture. Her mission to connect people and save humanity reflects the desire for a new and safe moral order.

Director of the Eurasian Book Agency Alexander Ostroverkh said that despite its still short history and experience, the company will participate in most international book exhibitions and fairs with a frequency of 1-2 times a month.
