Sevastopol is going to host participants in the large-scale ethno-confessional forum-festival “Faith. Goodness. Unity”, which will take place on November 02-04, 2023 as part of the “Dialogue and Cooperation of Cultures” project.
The organizers - the regional branch of the Assembly of Peoples of Russia and the ANO "Rodnoy Krai" - were supported by the Representative Office of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly in Sevastopol.
The forum-festival has large-scale goals and objectives: harmonization of interethnic and interreligious relations through cultural and religious interchange, prevention of interreligious and interethnic tension. The participants will also exchange experience in harmonizing inter-ethnic relations and creating conditions for communication and interaction between representatives of different cultures and nationalities on the issues of revival, preservation, development and popularization of ethno-cultural values and traditions.
The forum-festival “Faith. Goodness. Unity" will be attended by researchers, teachers of higher and secondary vocational education, graduate students, applicants and students, representatives of youth organizations, representatives of state authorities and local governments, the public, in particular representatives of national-cultural and religious organizations and other interested parties.
As part of a large-scale dialogue platform, on November 2, 2023, a scientific and practical conference “Dialogue and cooperation among cultures - the basis for the development of interethnic, interethnic relations” will be held. It will discuss the issues of the struggle for the preservation of national identity and historical memory in the global information space; new resources for the development of ethnic culture and education; upbringing the younger generation in the spirit of patriotism and readiness to defend the Fatherland in the face of threats to the national security of the Russian Federation. We will also talk about the protection of traditional spiritual and moral values, the values of the Russian world, and the preservation of the cultural and linguistic diversity of the peoples of Russia.
An important issue for discussion will be the interaction of state authorities, local governments, public organizations (associations) and the media in strengthening inter-ethnic peace and inter-confessional harmony, the prevention of interethnic conflicts and the offenses they produce, and the social and cultural adaptation of migrants.
On November 03-04, it is planned to hold exhibitions, excursions and performances by creative groups, meetings with representatives of authorities and civil society institutions.
Following the project, the organizers of the forum-festival plan to publish a printed Collection of Materials with placement in the RSCI (Russian Science Citation Index) database.
