The Delegation of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly paid a Working Visit to the Representative Office of Rossotrudnichestvo in Uzbekistan

The visit of the delegation of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly to Uzbekistan continues.

On April 27, in Tashkent hosted of an Assembly delegation headed by the First Deputy Secretary General - Head of the General Secretariat of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly Svetlana Smirnova met with the Head of the Representative Office of the Federal Agency for the Commonwealth of Independent States, Compatriots Living Abroad, and International Humanitarian Cooperation (Rossotrudnichestvo) in the Republic Uzbekistan by Mikhail Vozhdaev.

The Head of the Representative Office spoke about the main activities and ongoing projects of Rossotrudnichestvo in Uzbekistan in the field of international humanitarian cooperation, as well as in the implementation of state policy aimed at supporting compatriots living in Uzbekistan.

Among the urgent tasks on the agenda of the permanent work of Rossotrudnichestvo today are also issues of actively developing labor migration, learning the Russian language in Uzbekistan, and promoting the services of Russian educational institutions.

Svetlana Smirnova, noting the importance of cultural and humanitarian international cooperation, presented the activities of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly and spoke about plans to hold the Days of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly in Uzbekistan this autumn.

As part of the presentation project of the Days of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly, various countries traditionally hold humanitarian events aimed at expanding the cultural interaction of the peoples of Eurasia, preserving historical memory, strengthening intercultural and interreligious dialogue, expanding linguistic and intercultural communication of peoples.

The initiative to hold the Days of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly in Uzbekistan found support from the Head of the Representative Office of Rossotrudnichestvo in the Republic of Uzbekistan.
