Belyaninov: the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan is a Unique Socio-Political Institution

On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of Kazakhstan's Independence, the First President of the country - Elbasy Nursultan Nazarbayev received congratulations from a number of statesmen and public figures of foreign countries, representatives of international organizations.

Representatives of the UN, OSCE, heads of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly, the Assembly of peoples of Russia, the Kyrgyz People’s Assembly, deputies of the Parliament of the Turkish Republic, the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic and others sent warm words of congratulations.

The congratulations note the outstanding role of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Elbasy, Chairman of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan in strengthening peace and harmony, the international authority of the country.

Thus, the Director General of the UN Office in Geneva, Tatiana Valovaya, congratulated the Republic of Kazakhstan on the 30th anniversary of Independence and noted with admiration the following: “Kazakhstan is a lively crossroad, it is one of the most multinational and multi-confessional states in the world. Kazakhstan was able to do what many others failed, namely not only to avoid confrontation and conflicts, but also to use the potential of its ethnic diversity for the benefit of the peaceful development of the country, thereby setting an example of unity, peace and harmony ”.

OSCE High Commissioner on National Minorities Kairat Abdrakhmanov noted: “It is important to widely disseminate the rich experience accumulated by our Assembly throughout the space from Vancouver to Vladivostok. The Assembly embodies the unique Kazakhstani model of managing ethnic relations, and it is rightfully considered best practice in the context of the OSCE".

In his welcoming speech, the Deputies of the Friendship Group "Turkey–Kazakhstan" of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey noted: "Kazakhstan has become an authoritative member of the international community. At the present stage, Kazakhstan is one of the rare countries that takes responsibility in many areas, from nuclear disarmament to the fight against terrorism, from regional integration to transport corridors."

Secretary General of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly, Andrei Belyaninov noted in the congratulation that: on the initiative of Nursultan Abishevich, “a unique social and political institution has been created and is successfully operating - the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan, where new forms of peaceful coexistence of various ethnic groups are born”.

Deputy of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic, Head of the parliamentary friendship group for cooperation with the Republic of Kazakhstan Gulshat Asylbaeva noted that: the historical role of Nursultan Nazarbayev, "as the founder of independent Kazakhstan, is an example of great diligence and dedication in achieving the great future of his country."
