On August 12, a round table meeting "Implementation of national projects - decision-making based on data" took place within the "Digital Evolution" Forum.
Andrey Belyaninov, Secretary General of the International Union of Non-Governmental Organizations “Eurasian Peoples' Assembly” addressed the participants of the round table with a welcoming speech.
Alexander Levashov, editor-in-chief of TAdviser was the moderator of the round table.
The focus of the discussion was on the systematic approach to digital transformation, standards and legal aspects.

The speakers identified key issues and problems of transformation:
- the need to perceive the global restructuring of processes as the basis for the need for digitalization;
- fragmentation of data;
- lack of specialized staff and 50% of the future professions are related to digital technologies.
Participants shared successful solutions and cases, and discussed risks and threats, including personal data leakage and the likelihood of artificial intelligence errors.
Special attention was paid to the concept of "digital twin", its tools for decision-making, the controversy of the use of children's biometrics and the humane side of the digital transformation issue.
There was noted the need to work with values and beliefs in society on the topic of digital transformation, the need to educate the management team, the population and make changes, discussing with the community the key points to gain support and participation.
All participants agreed that:
- for a successful transformation there is a need in a regional center of competence for working with data;
- there is a need in a unified systemic and legislative base as a regulatory condition for transformation.
Experts from large IT companies, deeply immersed in the topic of regional digitalization, took part in the work. They shared their views on how the region can increase its potential for sustainable development, accelerate the transition to data-driven management, and overcome the often-typical difficulties that arise.
