International Committee “Greater Eurasia - Africa” HEAD (Committee Chairman)



OCHIROVA Alexandra Vasilievna - Doctor of Philosophy, Corresponding Member of the Academy of Arts of the Russian Federation, poet (author of 14 books published in Russia and abroad), member of the Writers' Union of the Russian Federation, UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador, member of the Commission of the Russian Federation for UNESCO, Co-Chairman of the All-Russian public movement “For Saving the People”, Deputy Secretary General of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly.

Alexandra Vasilievna was a Deputy of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation of the first convocation, Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs, a member of the Civic Chamber of the Russian Federation of three convocations, Chairman of the Commission on Social Development and Demographic Policy, a member of the Presidium of the Council under the President of the Russian Federation for the Implementation of Priority National Projects and Demographic Policy .

Awards: Order of Honour; Order of Friendship; Medal “For Labour Valour”; Laureate of the Lenin Komsomol Prize (in science); Russian Federation Presidential Certificate of Gratitude; Letter of Appreciation from the Prime Minister of Russia. Alexandra Vasilievna has other public and departmental awards and titles.

The activities of the “Greater Eurasia – Africa” International Committee are aimed at establishing strong mutually beneficial partnership relations between the peoples of Eurasia and Africa using public diplomacy tools, including:

  • Involvement of international participants in discussing issues and forms of interaction, as well as exchanging views on issues on the world agenda that affect the interests of African countries;
  • Assistance to international partners in terms of integration into international and country-based public organizations on the African continent.
