Today, on August 25, the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly, together with the Youth Congress of Kyrgyzstan, held a panel discussion at the Kelechek (“Future”) CIS and EAEU Youth Forum in the Kyrgyz Republic on the topic “Ideas uniting youth in the CIS and EAEU space”.
The session was moderated by Andrey Belyaninov, Secretary General of the International Union of Non-Governmental Organizations "Eurasian Peoples' Assembly" and Askar Shaikidinov, Chairman of the Youth Congress of Kyrgyzstan.
“The role of youth in integration processes has firmly entered the agenda of major international organizations and integration associations.
Youth, as the main driving force, is able to strengthen the agenda of the CIS and the EAEU with fresh ideas.
An open discussion within the forum and the opportunity for personal communication between young representatives of the future political and economic elite of the EAEU and CIS countries contribute to strengthening ties, increasing openness and trust, creating a direct and productive dialogue in the development of the integration agenda.
A community of young initiative people is being formed at the forum to consolidate strong ideas. Ideas that will make a significant contribution to the development of the CIS and the EAEU,” - Andrey Belyaninov said, opening the discussion.
The focus of the panel discussion was the issue of actively involving young people in the development of the CIS and the EAEU. As a result, several potential sites for uniting young people in the Eurasian space were identified. For example, issues of ecology, academic mobility, patriotic education, informatization and vocational guidance.
Despite a number of difficulties faced by the EAEU, speakers and debaters identified a number of optimistic forecasts and the most promising development trajectories.
