On April 4, the first founding Congress of the World Organization of Writers (WOW) opened under the motto “We are People of the Same Planet” in the “Writers’ Village” in the suburbs of Abuja, the Nigerian capital. This event was the result of the active efforts of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly members, who, supported by the Assembly's Secretary General Andrei Belyaninov, ensured the creation of the WOW headquarters in Moscow.
The founders of the organization are: International Union of Non-Governmental Organizations "Eurasian Peoples' Assembly", UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador, poet Alexandra Ochirova, Chairman of the Literary Council of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly, poet Margarita Al.

A delegation from Russia, led by WOW President Margarita Al, joined the global writers’ team, which was also supported by high-ranking officials from a number of African countries.
Paying tribute to the Russians, representatives of African literary and socio-political circles noted the relevance of the creation of the World Organization of Writers both for the humanitarian development of the African continent and the world as a whole, which is acquiring the features of a multipolar space.

The host party, the Pan-African Union of Writers, sincerely thanked Alexandra Ochirova for her powerful ideological contribution to the creation of a new community of writers on the planet, united within the Memorandum signed in Cairo in 2023, which became the basis for a common perspective in the struggle for the preservation of traditional values and a culture of diversity.

As part of the Congress, International Poetry Day was also celebrated. Poems by prominent cultural figures from a number of African countries were recited.

The transfer of the WOW (World Organization of Writers) flag from Egypt to Nigeria took place. The participants of the Congress received a greeting from the leadership of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly Alexandra Ochirova, who took part in the Congress online. Members of the Presidium of the Congress were presented with her new books - the creations of a poet, a leading philosopher in the “Russian Cosmism” movement, and a UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador. A festive concert of dance groups of Nigerian artists took place.

The Congress will continue its work until April 6.
