The winners of the International Competition of Cultural Practices “Heritage of Eurasia: Rural Communities” will be awarded an educational internship “The Power of the Vach Land”, which will take place on April 12 - 14.
The Vachsky municipal district of the Nizhny Novgorod region was among the semi-finalists of the International Competition of Cultural Practices “Heritage of Eurasia: Rural Communities” with the project “The Kingdom of Filigree. Creative Industries Cluster”. By decision of the competition commission, the project received the right to conduct internships for all competition winners on its territory.
During the program, participants will get acquainted with the experience of forming and implementing the development concept of the Vach municipal district “The Kingdom of Filigree. Creative Industries Cluster,” which was developed by a team of representatives of the administration, public associations, business, and local activists with expert support from the Center for Social Technologies “Dealing with Meaning.”
Joint work on the concept marked the beginning of the formation of the local community and the launch of positive changes in the municipality. The unifying principle was the idea of revival and economic prosperity through the development of creative industries based on cultural and historical heritage to unlock human creative potential and realize it.
The internship program includes acquaintance with the “Kingdom of Filigree” projects, the folk museum, the cultural and craft center “Zemskaya School”, the excursion program “Kondratov’s Legacy”, meetings with master craftsmen and a visit to the museum of the “Kazak enterprise of artistic products”.
Remind that on April 10 - 11, the International Union of Non-Governmental Organizations "Eurasian Peoples' Assembly" in partnership with the Center for Social Technologies "Dealing with Meaning" supported by the Presidential Foundation for Cultural Initiatives, the Civic Chamber of Russian Federation and the House of Peoples of Russia will organize an educational forum for participants in the International Cultural Competition practitioner “Heritage of Eurasia: Rural communities.”
The semi-finalists of the project - representatives of 20 teams from the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Republic of Tajikistan, the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Russian Federation, those who implement cultural practices in rural areas, will meet in Moscow. Experts singled out exactly those projects that contribute to the development of local communities.
At the end of the two days of the International Education Forum, finalists will be selected and awarded with an educational grant in the form of participation in an internship to find resources for replication and scaling of practices and creation of network cultural initiatives.
