In Tajikistan, the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly signed an Agreement with the National Foundation “Silk Road – the Path of Consolidation”

On October 20, 2023, as part of the visit of the delegation of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly to the Republic of Tajikistan, a cooperation agreement was signed between the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly and the National Foundation “Silk Road - the Path of Consolidation”.

On the part of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly, the agreement was signed by the First Deputy Secretary General - Head of the General Secretariat of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly Svetlana Konstantinovna Smirnova. On behalf of the National Foundation “Silk Road - the Path of Consolidation” the agreement was signed by the Head of the Foundation Mamadazimov Abdugani Mamadrakhimovich.

The Foundation is engaged in research and study of the rich historical heritage of the Great Silk Road, which today unites peoples and countries and inspires the creation of many projects.

One of these was the II International Scientific and Practical Conference “From the Volga to the Ganges via Transoxiana,” organized by the Foundation with the participation of the Tajik National University and the Institute of Asian and European Studies of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan with the support of the Gorchakov Foundation.

The conference was attended by a delegation of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly: First Deputy Secretary General - Head of the General Secretariat Smirnova S.K.; Head of the Department of the EAEU, CIS, SG countries Nefedova O.V.; co-chairman of the Coordination Council of the Youth Assembly of Eurasian Peoples Shishkina A.Yu.

As Svetlana Smirnova noted, the signing of the agreement opens up new opportunities for the parties to intensify mutual contacts and prospects for a common path - the path of consolidation.
