On September 4, Secretary General of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly Andrey Belyaninov held a working meeting with the Heads of the Representative Offices in the Russian Federation. The meeting was held in Sevastopol after an Expanded meeting of the General Council Presidium.

The meeting was attended by Ruslan Koveyko (Sevastopol), Yuri Palamarchuk (Leningrad region), Marina Plyasunova (Sverdlovsk region), Dmitry Trapeznikov (Bashkortostan), as well as First Deputy Secretary General – Head of the General Secretariat Svetlana Smirnova and Deputy Heads of the General Secretariat.

The Assembly's Representative offices are a serious resource for its development. “Representative offices are our outposts for promoting the Assembly, its mission, and implementing our large-scale projects, - Andrey Belyaninov said. - Each Representative Office has its own unique projects. Interregional and international cooperation makes these projects more significant, bright and interesting.”

The participants of the meeting exchanged plans and ideas for joint work of the Representative Offices aimed at implementing the statutory goals of the Assembly.

The participants came to the conclusion that the pandemic, on the one hand, imposes serious restrictions on the implementation of projects, but on the other hand, this situation creates new opportunities for organizing projects remotely. Distances and borders no longer play a significant role in contacts. The Assembly is actively and successfully developing new formats of work, and there is also a huge potential for expanding the role of Representative offices. A vivid example of such interaction is the Assembly’s online project “Meetings with Partners”.
