Preparations for the World Congress of Writers' Organization: an Organizing Committee for the Event has been opened in Nigeria

In preparation for the upcoming Congress of the World Organization of Writers (WOW), scheduled for Nigerian capital - Abuja –between April 4 - 6, 2024, the Secretary General of the Pan African Writers Association (PAWA). Dr. Wale Okediran, inaugurated the Local Organizing Committee (LOC) of the event. The LOC Chairman is the President of the Association of Nigerian Authors (ANA) Dr. Usman Ladipo Akanbi.

The Vice-Chairman of the LOC is the ANA Chairman, Arch Chukudi Eze, and the Secretary of the organizing committee was the ANA National Secretary, Dr. Joan Oji.

The new International Association of Writers WOW (World Organization of Writers), founded by the International Union of Non-Governmental Organizations "Eurasian Peoples' Assembly", will hold the first ever Congress of Writers under the motto: "We are people of the same planet." The Congress is hosted by the Pan-African Writers Association "PAWA".

Several events will take place during the three days of the Congress: the celebration of the XXV UNESCO World Poetry Day, the innovative business forum “Eurasia + Africa”, the VII World Literary Festival “WOW-LIFFT”, as well as the World Cultural and Educational Forum “Modern Problems of Humanitarian Modernization” ", the idea of which belongs to the UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador, Co-Chairman of the General Council of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly Alexandra Ochirova.

Among the announced collective participants in WOW events are the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly, the Pan-African Writers Association and other organizations, advocating the preservation of traditional values, the establishment of a multipolar world order based on mutual respect, trust and beneficial economic cooperation.

Writers, scientists and diplomats from more than 20 countries are expected to take part in the Congress under the motto “WE ARE PEOPLE OF THE SAME PLANET”.
