Member of the Supreme Advisory Council of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly spoke about Eurasian Economic Integration

On November 13, the first lecture of the educational module of the Model of the Eurasian Economic Union “History of the creation and development of the EAEU” took place. Eurasian economic integration". It was read by a member of the Board (Minister) for Integration and Macroeconomics of the Economic Commission for Europe (EEC), Member of the Supreme Advisory Council of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly Sergei Glazyev.

The meeting began with a welcoming speech from the Vice-Rector for Youth Policy, Social Work and International Relations of MGIMO Stanislav Surovtsev, who noted the special significance of the EAEU Model due to Russia’s chairmanship in the EAEU bodies in 2023, as well as cooperation between MGIMO and the EEC in the development of student science and youth cooperation.

During the lecture, Sergei Glazyev told students about the special importance of political integration in the Eurasian space, including through the development of cooperation in education.

A member of the Supreme Advisory Council of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly highlighted the process of formation of a single Eurasian economic space, the role of political, economic and humanitarian factors in this process. The expert also shared the work procedure of the EEC Board and emphasized the main idea of the EAEU, which is to confront the global challenges of our time and ensure economic stability in the Eurasian space.
