Forum in Kaspiysk supported the Proposal of the Secretary General of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly on the Development of the Digital Future of the North-South ITC

The Caspian Digital Forum, which is held with the support of the Russian Ministry of Digital Development, continues its work in the Republic of Dagestan. One of the co-organizers of the dialogue platform is the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly. Representatives of government authorities in development of information technology, transport and logistics, ecology, tourism, science and education, business, specialized associations and unions of the countries of Russia, Azerbaijan, Iran, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, India, Qatar and Uzbekistan are discussing the creation of a digital ecosystem of a transport corridor "North - South". The 7,200-kilometer route from St. Petersburg to the port of Mumbai is used for international freight transport.

Forum participants were divided into industry working groups to work out a development strategy based on digital technologies.

Following the plenary session of the Caspian Digital Forum, representatives of the Minister of Digital Development of Russia Maksut Shadayev and the Iranian Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Technology Meisam Abedi supported the proposal of the Secretary General of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly Andrei Belyaninov to create an international directorate for the implementation of the digital ecosystem within the International Transport Corridor "North-South". The enterprise of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly “Digital Transformation Laboratory” is ready to unite the expert community with IT solutions to implement a large-scale project. On the sidelines of the forum, an agreement will be signed between the Ministry of Digital Development of Dagestan and the Digital Transformation Laboratory ANO on information exchange and joint activities.

The decisions developed at the Caspian Forum will form the basis of the final report on the necessary measures for the successful implementation of digital developments in the functioning of the North-South transport corridor. In addition, within the forum it is planned to develop common standards for cross-border exchange of information and documents, a single sample of a digital signature, data security, logistics management, tourism, ecology, as well as projects using artificial intelligence.
