The first meeting of the International Discussion Club “VISION 3000” in 2024 was held at the Moscow House of Nationalities. The club brings together experts in various fields and is an open platform for the exchange of experience, uniting like-minded people whose activities are aimed at dialogue and openness when discussing public problems.

The meeting’s agenda was devoted to the topic: “Family and traditional family values as a factor in the national security of society.” The Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly was represented by Natalia Zabolotskikh, Deputy Head of the Assembly General Secretariat, political scientist, media technologist, coordinator of the international project “Leader of People’s Diplomacy.”

The meeting was opened by Alfiya Amirova, President of the RPO “International Union of Women”, President of the International Discussion Club “VISION 3000”:
“The family is the basis of the state and represents the environment in which people, with some exceptions, develop throughout their entire life or a significant part of it. The family cannot be called an “institution” in the same sense in which, for example, political institutions, education and medicine are spoken of, since the family is a kind of “institution of institutions” that makes possible the very existence of the state and its subsystems,” - noted the president of the discussion club, “The purpose of our meeting is to show the importance of protecting the family and traditional family values as a factor of national security and to propose specific measures in this area, promoting civilizational and demographic development.”

The club meeting outlined priorities in terms of the value system with which family values are associated with:
• providing support for family education,
• promoting the formation of a responsible attitude of parents or legal representatives to the upbringing of children;
• providing conditions for increasing the social, communicative and pedagogical competence of parents.

In her speech, Deputy Head of the General Secretariat of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly Natalia Zabolotskikh noted: “The historical moment obliges modernity to find adequate solutions to the challenges of the time. Today, human culture, the preservation of traditions and family are becoming a decisive factor in the development and preservation of civilization, and in today’s situation, family and traditional family values are also a factor determining the vector of building international relations.
Traditional family values, the family, as a model for building relationships, have fully absorbed the norms and requirements developed by the historical past, ensuring the full life of society and its ability for non-conflict coexistence...”

The expert spoke about the projects of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly dedicated to the preservation of family values, such as “Weddings of the peoples of the world: cultural heritage”, “Happy family - happy country - happy world”, “The world draws happiness”, as well as the work of departments - the Department of Happiness and the Department on Spiritual Culture.

Natalia Viktorovna invited all participants of the discussion club to visit the exhibition of the unique International Art Project “Angels of Peace”, the presentation of which will take place on January 31 at the Moscow House of Nationalities. The international project is organized by Krasnoyarsk artists with the support of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly and brings together painters from 26 countries. Since April 2014, more than 366 paintings on the theme “Guardian Angel” have been collected.

Senator of the Russian Federation, Yulia Lazutkina, spoke about the importance of the state creating favorable conditions for the development of the family: “The family is the basis of society, therefore one of the main tasks of the state is to create favorable conditions for the family to perform its social functions related to raising, caring for children and disabled family members, ensuring family well-being, responsible parenthood and maintaining the social sustainability of each family.
To ensure stable socio-economic growth and improve the living standards of families with children, the development of the social sphere, the development of new, effective approaches to the provision of social services and assistance to various categories of citizens are of great importance. Of course, due to decisions taken at the state level in recent years, the situation is improving.”
