On March 5, 2024, as part of the events of the exhibition on recyclable materials Moscow International Recycling Expo 2024 at the World Trade Center in Moscow, a cooperation agreement was signed between the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly and the Association “National Self-Regulatory Organization of Enterprises for the Management of Scrap Metals, Industrial and Consumer Waste” (“RUSLOM.COM"). This is an organization that has already acted as a partner of the Assembly, participating in the project of creating a high relief dedicated to the Victory Parade on June 24, 1945. The commemorative panel was installed in the fall of 2023 in a historical place in the very center of Moscow - at the entrance to the building of the Okhotny Ryad shopping center. The installation was timed to coincide with the Day of Military Glory - “September 3 - Day of Victory over militaristic Japan and the end of World War II (1945).”
The author of the high relief - People's Artist of the Russian Federation, Academician of the Russian Academy of Arts, member of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly Vladimir Surovtsev depicted the commander of the Victory Parade, Marshal of the Soviet Union Konstantin Rokossovsky, and Marshal of the Soviet Union, who hosted the Victory Parade, Georgy Zhukov. They ride around the formation of officers and soldiers on Red Square. The project to create a high relief was implemented under the auspices of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly and the Russian Union of Veterans with the support of the public organization “Association of Graduates of the Higher Komsomol School”.
The signing of a cooperation agreement between the Assembly and the NSOE “RUSLOM.COM” will further strengthen relations and create a solid basis for the further implementation of projects. The document consolidates the expansion and strengthening of international economic and humanitarian cooperation between the parties, as well as promoting the preservation of historical memory, the exchange of accumulated experience for the purpose of mutual development of Eurasian countries in the areas of culture, education, work with youth.
“We must place the main emphasis on working with young people, helping them build our future. We are obliged to preserve historical memory and I am glad that our cooperation with partners in this area is strengthening. I invite all business representatives to work together,” said Secretary General of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly Andrei Belyaninov, addressing the participants of the exhibition at the World Trade Center, where the agreement was signed.
