On October 25-26, the International State Institute of International Relations MGIMO hosted the II International Scientific and Practical Conference “Digital International Relations 2023”.

The delegation of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly included the Co-Chairman of the General Council of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly, UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador Alexandra Ochirova and the Head of the Department for the Development of International Education and Partnership of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly Alana Kochieva.

Alexandra Ochirova made a report as the main speaker in the section “Digital evolution in the international cultural environment.”

“The rapid development of technological progress in relation to the humanitarian component is a very serious topic for reflection regarding the basic civilizational issues that modern civilization is faced with,” said Alexandra Ochirova.

The UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador spoke about the International Forum for Public Diplomacy recently held in Belgorod, in which she took part and made presentations, representing the area of cultural diplomacy.

“Culture has always shaped values and meanings. Our civilization is losing its meaning. Morality and truth do not always fit into the digital reality, and sometimes this is done in a conscious way,” - added Alexandra Ochirova.

In conclusion, the Co-Chairperson of the General Council of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly emphasized that digitalization touches on very serious topics of the global world, looking at it in the integrity that it is and in which it has developed, because digitalization is always, above all, about people. It is man who develops his interaction with the world and nature; he always comprehended his every step and made it the property of what we now see in the works of the authors of local civilizations.
