The International Caspian Digital Forum, which opened today in Dagestan, will discuss the issues of digital development of the North-South transport corridor. The concept of the dialogue platform was developed by the Ministry of Digital Development of Russia, industry federal executive authorities, the Government of the Republic of Dagestan and a subsidiary of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly ANO “Laboratory of Digital Transformation”. There was a corresponding agreement signed.

“The Forum will raise the issue of digital development of the North-South transport corridor, including support and logistics, electronic queues at automobile checkpoints, and logistics through seaports. We have a sea route through Dagestan to Iran. The working groups’ format is aimed at ensuring that representatives of business, the state and the company will identify the problems that currently exist in building digital services in the work of the transport corridor,” - noted the Minister of Digital Development of Dagestan Yuri Gamzatov at the opening of the forum.

On the first day of the forum after the opening, it is planned to sign agreements and work in sections and groups divided by topic. On the second day, the participation of the Minister of Digital Development of Russia Maksut Shadayev in a plenary session is expected. On the third day, participants will visit tourist locations in the region on an excursion.

Secretary General of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly Andrei Belianinov, addressing the forum participants, said: “I would like to wish that as a result of the forum we receive developments and approve: common standards for cross-border exchange of information and documents, a common standard for digital signature, data security, logistics management, tourism, ecology and projects using artificial intelligence.”

Together we must understand what is the current status of countries’ readiness to implement the project in terms of the regulatory framework, technological and technical capabilities, material and resource components. As a result, we must determine what countries lack for successful integration into the project and propose specific solutions to the problems.”

At the forum, it is planned to sign a tripartite agreement between the government of Dagestan and the companies Key Point Group and Neoros for the construction of a large data processing center in the region.

Another agreement will be signed by the government of Dagestan and the SKB Contour company. It will be aimed at developing proposals for the transition to simplified cross-border interaction between businesses in the countries of the Caspian region.

There will be an agreement signed between the Ministry of Digital Development of Dagestan and the Autonomous Non-Profit Organization of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly “Digital Transformation Laboratory” on information exchange and joint activities.

More than 600 people will take part in the forum, including representatives of Iran, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, as well as regions of the North Caucasus Federal District, Tula, Voronezh, Astrakhan, Rostov regions and Krasnodar Territory.
