Business Platforms of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly at the BRICS+ Forum are dedicated to Economic and Youth Cooperation of Municipal Territories in Eurasian Countries

The 5th anniversary International Municipal BRICS+ Forum opened in St. Petersburg. Delegates from 63 countries take part in it. The delegation of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly also began work at business sites. The delegation is headed by the First Deputy Secretary General - Head of the General Secretariat of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly Svetlana Smirnova. The Assembly is a partner of the forum and a co-organizer of two events that will take place on November 10: a panel discussion “Cultural practices of rural communities of the BRICS+ countries” and a strategic session “BRICS+: 2030” (Image of the future of BRICS+ through the eyes of youth)

Just a month ago, on the sidelines of the conference “Development of regional cooperation within the BRICS+ countries”, the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly and the BRICS Plus Business Communications Support Foundation signed a Cooperation Agreement.

The document defines formats of cooperation between organizations to provide support and assistance in organizing the annual business “International Municipal BRICS+ Forum”, which is held with the support of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Rossotrudnichestvo and the Government of St. Petersburg.

The theme of the anniversary Forum is “At the intersection of past and future: global transformation.” The business program includes 120 events, including expert sessions and sections, plenary sessions, business conferences and panel discussions, master classes, presentations of investment projects and round tables.

Forum objectives: to promote the integration of positive world experience, the implementation of state tasks on the ground, the development of social and economic well-being of municipal territories, the introduction of information, digital and innovative technologies into the everyday activities of large cities in developing countries.

The panel discussion, co-organized by the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly, will be dedicated to the cultural practices of rural communities of the BRICS+ countries. The business session is designed to promote productive dialogue and partnership between municipal communities of the BRICS+ countries, studying the unique experience of implementing cultural practices in rural areas.

A joint search for new solutions, strengthening and developing mutual contacts will help create a general atmosphere of trust and harmony between the peoples of the BRICS+ countries and the whole world.

Also, on November 10, 2023 (12:00-13:30) a strategic session “BRICS+: 2030” (Image of the future of BRICS+ through the eyes of youth) co-organized by the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly will take place.

BRICS+ is a unique, promising platform for multidisciplinary interaction. In connection with the expansion of the geography of the BRICS+ countries, it is necessary to solve large-scale tasks, in the implementation of which young people, who make up the majority of the population in the BRICS+ countries, play an important role.

As part of the strategic session, an image of the future of the BRICS+ countries through the eyes of young people will be formed, and proposals for the implementation of joint youth projects will be worked out.

Representatives of international youth organizations and students from BRICS+ countries will take part in the strategic session.

The moderator of the business platform is Daria Saprynskaya - Co-Chairman of the Coordination Council of the Eurasian Youth Assembly, project manager of the Gorchakov Foundation, researcher at ISAA Moscow State University named after M.V. Lomonosov.
