The outcomes of the III International Forum “Truth and Morality - a Strategic Resource of Public Diplomacy” continue to evoke lively responses from experts, public figures - all those who today see and feel global political processes and changes in the formation of the world order.
Svetlana Sharenkova (Bulgaria), Professor, Doctor of Political Science, Chair of the Bulgaria-Russia Forum, Deputy Secretary General of the Assembly of Peoples of Eurasia, expressed her assessment of the Forum and its final document, the Belgorod Manifesto:
“The format of such an event and with such international support (150 representatives from 40 countries in Europe, Asia, the Arab world, Africa, Latin America) is direct proof that a multipolar world is being formed effectively, that this is not a distant future, but a real prospect.
Proof that public organizations in different countries have the right to sovereign contacts and policies, to their activities and initiatives. And that no one can have a monopoly and a ban on such contacts, on understanding what “good” and “evil”, “right” and “wrong” are in international relations, and even more so a monopoly on the functioning of “civil society”.
Proof that the idea of the Eurasian space is not a fiction or a slogan, but a really working format with great potential. It is no coincidence that the SCO, BRICS and other promising organizations are developing precisely on a Eurasian and transcontinental basis - as opposed to the declining Euro-Atlantic vector.
This is an example of the fact that Asia, Africa, Latin America are not the periphery of the world (as the collective West sees them), but equal subjects with much greater potential in new international relations - in the economy, in technological development, in social and spiritual development.
Public diplomacy is sometimes more effective than the failed diplomacy of the elites, which, especially in the person of the Collective West, fails, enslaves by theses, outdated and ineffective ideological postulates and economic dependencies.
The youth vector of public diplomacy is very important! Youth should be the bridge to achieve world peace as future leaders. The intelligentsia is also a potential bridge to peace, friendship and understanding between peoples. In the future, the document must be sealed with a specific program of action and expected concrete results.”
Recall that the forum held on October 10-12, 2023 in Belgorod brought together representatives of more than 40 countries of Eurasia, Africa, Latin America and the Asia-Pacific region. They discussed the formation of new imperatives on the international agenda. The forum participants agreed that the strategic resource for making the right decisions regarding the establishment of a stable and secure multipolar world is primarily associated with an understanding of morality and truth. Public diplomacy can and should play a special role in this regard.
The initiators and organizers of the international dialogue platform were: the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly, the Institute of Cultural Diplomacy in the United Arab Emirates and the Belgorod State Technological University named after V. G. Shukhov. The forum was held with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, as well as the A. M. Gorchakov Fund for the Support of Public Diplomacy and the Association of Arab Universities.
