
The city of Orenburg has become another territory of Russia, where viewers will see unique documentaries - winners of the XVIII International Film Festival “WON TOGETHER” named after Vladimir Menshov. On May 12 - 17, 2024, as part of the Film Marathon screenings of six films are organized in the city at six venues.
Each of the festival films evoked not only a positive response from the professional jury, but also enthusiastic reviews from viewers who had already watched the films.
The Film Marathon program includes the following films:
• ‘Blockade Recipe Book’ by Fyodor Babenko: a modern man's view of the surrounding reality through the eyes of the residents of besieged Leningrad;
• “Democratic Fascism” by Tatiana Borsch: the film presents facts from the history of world colonialism, World War II, the confrontation between NATO and the Warsaw Pact countries, color revolutions and Western intervention in various parts of the planet, which reveal the fascist essence of Western “democracy”;
• “The Plan of General Vatutin” by Irina Mishina: a film about the fate of General Vatutin against the backdrop of the greatest battles of the Great Patriotic War;
• “Avdeev. Open Space" by Maxim Kuznetsov: a story about Sergei Avdeev - cosmonaut, Hero of Russia, enthusiast of his craft;
• “Apollo Union. The Power of Attraction" by Andrey Feofanov: a film about the joint experimental flight of cosmonauts Alexei Leonov (USSR) and Tom Stafford (USA) and about their friendship during the Cold War;
• “Heavenly Crimea” by Sergei Debizhev: Crimea is the “living heart” of the Earth, a smaller copy of our planet. The embodiment of all the elements gathered in one place.
As part of the film marathon in Orenburg, film screenings and creative meetings with viewers will be held at six venues: at the Orenburg Presidential Cadet School, Orenburg State University, at the Center for Media Development “Get Involved” - School of Cinema and Television, at the Orenburg State Pedagogical University and in one of the military units in Orenburg region.
After viewing a number of films there will be creative meetings of the audience with the hero of one of the films - cosmonaut Sergey Avdeev.
The organizers of the International Documentary Film Festival “WON TOGETHER” named after Vladimir Menshov and the Film Marathon are the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly and the Eurasian Television Academy with the support of the Presidential Foundation for Cultural Initiatives.
