Project goals: preservation of ethno-cultural diversity, national identity and historical heritage; development of cooperation of national-cultural associations with state bodies in the field of interethnic relations; mutual enrichment of the cultures of the peoples of Eurasia.
Features of the contest: attracting young fashion designers, representatives of national-cultural associations, student and other communities to the creative environment for communication and exchange of experience in the field of ethnic costume design, improving professional skills.
Project content
The competition is held in the following categories:
- "The best Slavic costume"
- "The best costume of the peoples of the Caucasus"
- "Best Oriental Costume"
- "The best costume of the Finno-Ugric peoples"
- "The best costume of the peoples of the North, Siberia and the Far East"
- "Ethnic motifs in modern costume"
- "The best costume of the peoples of Africa"
- "Retro ethnic costume"
- "Best ethnic stage costume" in action (choreography, excerpts from the performance, vocal accompaniment, etc.)
The winners who take the first places in the nominations are awarded the main prize of the "ETNO-ERATO" Contest.
Second and third places are awarded with diplomas.
Special prizes of the competition are established (including the prize of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly):
- "for professionalism"
- "Promising couturier"
- "For the careful preservation of folk traditions."
Terms of the contest
Travel and accommodation at the expense of the sending party.
It is necessary to have musical accompaniment with you and only on a flash drive in MP3 audio format.
Each nomination can be presented by 1 to 10 collections.
Send an application for participation in the contest, portfolio, photos and contact numbers by e-mail: etno-erato.mdn@mail.ru until November 1, 2023.
The application shall indicate: the full name of the participant-author of the collection, the name of the contest nomination, the name of the collection and description of the costume, the number of costumes, the involvement of models by prior arrangement, the address and contact numbers (the application form can also be downloaded from the website www.mdn.ru), a list of all participants to enter the building.
