With the help and support of the Representative Office of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly in the Leningrad Region (Russia), on June 11-12, the 1st International Youth Festival "EthnoGrad" was held at the Center of the Youth Committee on Youth Policy of the Leningrad Region.
Deputy Secretary General of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly, Head of the Representation of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly in the Leningrad Region (Russia) Yuri Palamarchuk, in his welcoming speech to the festival participants, emphasized that this event has a unique status and significance, as it gives rise to numerous projects of the Eurasian School of Commonwealth, which by common efforts will be held here, in the Leningrad region. We are talking about the creation of a single social space, the formation of a tolerant consciousness among young people, their respectful attitude towards the language, culture and customs of other peoples and careful, son-like attitude to their own.
“The number of citizens of common sense, as I call people who are ready to cooperate, is constantly growing,” - said Yuriy Palamarchuk. – Because friendship between peoples is precisely the quality of common sense. We ourselves decide where and when we gather with friends, and we gather where we ourselves consider it necessary, and with whom. And this is the "top league of relationships" from which no one can exclude us.”
