Ugra hosted the International Russian Language Week in Europe and the CIS

Anastasia Pavlova, a member of the General Council, Chairman of the Council for Eurasian Tourism Security of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly, took part in the International Week of the Russian Language in Europe and the CIS, held in Ugra on October 25 - 29, 2021.

The Governor of Ugra Natalya Komarova opened the week. She spoke about the opportunities that Ugra provides for international cooperation. The thing  is about the projects: "Week of the Russian language in foreign countries", the Festival of Readers in Russian, which takes place in Germany, as well as the language programs of the Surgut and Ugra State Universities, implemented for applicants from India, Egypt, Africa and other countries of the world.

In 2021, the International Week of the Russian Language in Europe and the CIS was attended by representatives of Tajikistan, Slovakia, Qatar, Libya, Czech Republic, Spain, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Austria, Kazakhstan, Moldova, USA, Jordan.

Ugra proposed the establishment of a comprehensive program of the Russian Federation for the protection and promotion of the Russian language in the world, which was announced by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia Sergey Lavrov in September this year within the educational marathon "New Knowledge", reported Uchitelskaya Gazeta.
