BAKU, Azerbaijan /Trend Life/ - People's Artist of Azerbaijan, famous pianist Murad Huseynov was awarded a special prize of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly, Trend Life reports with reference to the organization's official website.
The International Union of Non-Governmental Organizations "Eurasian Peoples' Assembly" for the first time announced the laureates of the International Action "We say THANK YOU!"
At a Gala Reception in honor of the International Day of Peace, the first laureates were awarded Diplomas and Tokens of Public Recognition.
Among the laureates is People's Artist of Azerbaijan, Director of the International Mugham Center Murad Huseynov.
He was awarded for his great personal contribution to the preservation and popularization of musical folk traditions and support for peace initiatives in Eurasia. This award was also presented to such famous personalities as Professor of the University of Cadiz (Spain) Rafael Jiménez-Castañeda, world famous writer, playwright, composer John Farndon, UN Special Envoy Agnes Matilda Calibata, GIC Group CEO Richard Gilmore.
Note that People's Artist of Azerbaijan Murad Huseynov was previously awarded medals and awards from several states. Among them should be noted the Order of Hungary "Grand Officer's Cross", the Medal of the French Senate, the Order of France "Art and Literature" and others.
