Textbook on Journalism for the Blind presented at the All-Russian Scientific and Practical Conference

A textbook on journalism for blind children was presented at the All-Russian scientific and practical conference "The system of comprehensive rehabilitation of students with disabilities: the experience of interagency cooperation".

The project manager Olga Chirkova spoke about the work on the textbook, about the structure of the new audio publication for blind children. The project contains three parts: theory, practice and design. Already from school, children can learn not only the basics of journalism, but also have the opportunity to get acquainted with the history of domestic and foreign journalism, and create their own projects. This is a direct path to your future profession.

The purpose of the scientific conference: discussion of theoretical and practical issues of organizing the comprehensive rehabilitation of disabled people and persons with disabilities, broadcasting the best practices of organizing interagency interaction, demonstrating master classes. The conference participants got acquainted with the experience and best practices from different regions of the country.

The journalism textbook is an innovative project, the creation of which involved professional journalists, teachers, rehabilitation therapists, and typhlopedagogues.

Recall that the project "Teaching journalism for young people and children over 12 years of age with disabilities due to eye disease and its adnexa “Journalism Lessons for the Blind" is being implemented by the International Union of Non-Governmental Organizations “Eurasian Peoples' Assembly” with the use of a grant from the President of the Russian Federation for social services, social support and protection of citizens, provided by the Presidential Grants Foundation”.
