Svetlana Smirnova is on a Business Visit to the Republic of Bashkortostan

First Deputy Secretary General - Head of the General Secretariat of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly Svetlana Smirnova is on a business visit to the Republic of Bashkortostan.

Today, Svetlana Smirnova met with the Chairman of the State Committee of the Republic of Bashkortostan for Foreign Economic Relations and Congress Activities Margarita Bolycheva. The parties discussed issues of preparation and holding of the Days of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly in Ufa from July 3 to July 10, announced Dmitry Trapeznikov, Executive Secretary of the Representation of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly in Bashkortostan.

“It is a great honour for us to host such a major international event as the Days of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly in Bashkortostan. Also during this period, the World Folkloriada will be held in Ufa, which will allow integrating two such outstanding events into the congress agenda of the Republic”, - REGNUM news agency quotes Margarita Bolycheva.

The Days of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly in the Republic of Bashkortostan will be held July 3 to 10, 2021. Business events that will take place in Ufa, will affect different areas of the Assembly's activities: cooperation within UNESCO, youth policy, business, historical heritage and others. In addition, the Days will include a meeting of the General Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly, as well as a presentation of the largest Eurasian Games “Eurasiada” which is scheduled to be held in Ufa in 2025.

The Eurasian Peoples' Assembly is an international non-governmental organization aimed at forming a social integration model in the name of establishing peace and harmony through the development of multilateral cooperation and public (people's) diplomacy in the Eurasian space. The Assembly brings together representatives from more than 43 countries. The organization has concluded 114 partnership agreements in culture, entrepreneurship, the development of integration ties between the peoples of Eurasia and public diplomacy.
