September 11 – 13, 2021, the "Sunflower" Festival will be held in Izhevsk.
This year it will be held for the 16th time. Earlier, the holiday gathered young journalists from different countries. In 2021, the event has a new name - Family Media Creativity Festival. According to the organizers, this is due to the fact that the festival has been loved not only by young journalists, but also by their parents and grandparents. According to the Regulations of the Festival this year as children groups so as families will come to the Festival.
The theme of the Festival is the fairy tales of the peoples of Eurasia.
The organizers of the big holiday are the Udmurt Regional Public Organisation “Creative Initiatives Support Centre “Zhuraveinik+", the Youth Section of the Union of Journalists of Udmurtia in partnership with the International Union of Non-Governmental Organizations "Eurasian Peoples 'Assembly", "Nechkino" Resort, the Department of Happiness of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly, Udmurt Zoo park, Republican rehabilitation center "Adeli".
The Festival contest program consists of several nominations.
You can submit your work to the Festival both in person and in absentia. One of the main goals of the Festival is to create a book of fairy tales about happiness, which will be published with the support of the EURASIA KIDS project and the Department of Happiness of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly.
The online festival events began on June 1st. Future storytellers have visited the exhibition dedicated to Cheburashka, they met with the books’ heroes that celebrate anniversaries this year. The meetings are held virtually. Today, for example, the guys went to Italy to visit Cipollino (this year the book of Gianni Rodari “The Adventures of Cipollino” turns 60). Soon a trip to Ukraine will take place to learn about the great writer Nikolai Gogol and his book "Evenings on a farm near Dikanka" (this year the book turns 190).
The winners of the Sunflower Festival in September will be awarded with diplomas of various degrees.
The Festival is held under the patronage of the Deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Valery Buzilov.
