"Streets of Our Heroes": Radmir Zabirov about Abuzar Nizaev Street (Ufa)

The Representation of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly in the Republic of Bashkortostan On "Radio Russia - Bashkortostan" organized a cycle of programs "Streets of Our Heroes". Within the project in honor of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War, famous people of the republic talk about the glorified war heroes of the republic and home front workers, whose names are immortalized in the names of streets as a tribute to the courage and self-sacrifice of these people.

The chair of the Committee for Support and Development of Industry of the Representation of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly in the Republic of Bashkortostan Radmir Zabirov tells about the street named after Abuzar Nizaev.

-  The street named after the Full Knight of the Order of Glory Abuzar Nizaev is located in the Nagaevo district of the city of Ufa.

From the first days of the war, Abuzar Gayazovich fought at the front, liberated the Baltic States, was a participant in the defense of Leningrad.

The commander of the squadron of the rifle regiment of the 46th rifle division, senior sergeant Nizaev, performed several feats in the war. He went on the attack bravely, did not leave the battlefield, even when he was wounded. In one of these battles, he repelled two enemy counterattacks from a light machine gun. When the machine gun went out of order, the brave warrior continued the battle with grenades, destroying up to 20 Nazis. He was wounded, but did not leave the battlefield.

He finished the military path in Germany. Abuzar Gayazovich was also awarded the Order of the Patriotic War, 1st degree, medals. In 1945, Sergeant Major Nizaev was demobilized. He returned to Bashkiria, at first he lived and worked in the city of Blagoveshchensk, then in Ufa.

In addition, in memory of the Hero, a memorial plaque was erected in Ufa on house No. 10 in Rossiyskaya Street, where Abuzar Gayazovich lived in 1987-1997.
