“Lockdown for sports is not very good,” - Secretary General of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly Andrei Belyaminov proposes to create Eurasian Sports Leagues.

During the Moscow-Yerevan – Bishkek – Nur – Sultan teleconference at the Sputnik international multimedia centre Secretary General of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly Andrei Belyaninov said about the necessity to organize the Eurasian football championship, and invite Ukrainian and Baltic teams to participate having no political goals.

They love football in Armenia. But small countries such as Armenia, Georgia and others, for objective reasons, are not able to provide high-quality content for the football league, Belyaminov argues.

He believes that lockdown in sports is not very good. For team sports, it is worth creating the Eurasian Sports Leagues. In his opinion, many countries will join this kind of undertaking.

Belyaminov cites the example of the Continental Hockey League, where Chinese teams play, and this contributes to the development of hockey in the PRC.
