Specialized Councils of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly Regularly Coordinate their Work

On November 15, the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly held a meeting of the Coordinating Committee of the Specialized Councils.

The main topic of the meeting’s agenda was the discussion of activity tasks of the Specialized Councils of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly.

The Secretary General of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly Andrei Belyaninov, Chairman of the Coordinating Committee, thanked the Chairmen of the Councils for their work and pointed out the importance of further expanding cooperation, given the positive experience of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly with non-governmental organizations.

“The Councils’ projects are another opportunity to demonstrate the resource of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly, its activity areas, to show our cooperative ties with partners from the countries of Eurasia, our creative potential. There are already well-established projects, new initiatives are emerging. I would like to see in your speeches your vision of the development of the Specialized Councils’ projects. Perhaps you and I will be able to single out one flagship project of the Council, which will become your memory card,” - the Secretary General of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly noted in his speech.

The meeting participants made proposals for establishing diplomatic and economic relations with partners from Eurasian countries, and also discussed new ideas for the development and promotion of the Specialized Councils’ projects within the Union State, the CIS Executive Committee, the Eurasian Economic Commission and the SCO.

According to the Regulations on the Coordinating Committee of the Specialized Councils of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly, meetings will be held at least once a quarter. Working groups of the Committee will operate between meetings.
