The Song written by the Co-Chairman of the Literary Council is Awarded with «For the Benefit of Peace» Prize

The song “The Silver Voice of Russia” to the verses of the Co-Chairman of the Literary Council of Writers and Readers of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly Yekaterina Volodina was among the winners of the National Prize for Humanism in Art and Public Activity «For the Benefit of Peace».

The song of Ekaterina Volodina owes the most part of its victory to the friendly support of writers and readers of Eurasia. At the first stage of the competition, more than five thousand people voted for it.

The award ceremony took place at the Victory Museum on Poklonnaya Hill in Moscow. This year, such prominent cultural figures as Lyubov Kazarnovskaya, Alexander Mikhailov, Larisa Verbitskaya, Grigory Gladkov, Alexander Pyatkov, Inna Gomes, Andrey Maksimov, Yekaterina Guseva were included in the award's expert council. 364 songs were submitted to the competition.

“For the Benefit of Peace” Prize was established in 2011. The idea of ​​the prize came from the Soviet and Russian singer, actress, Honoured Artist of the RSFSR, People's Artist of the RSFSR Valentina Tolkunova and writer and public figure Alexander Usanin. Actor Konstantin Khabensky, director Yuri Bykov, singer Danila Pluzhnikov, Utah are among the winners of previous years.

“For the Benefit of Peace” project encourages authors who create good, light and moral works of art, helps to popularize the ideas of goodness, peace and humanism. The main mission of the award is consonant with the activities of the Literary Council of Writers and Readers of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly - the creation of a harmonious, healthy society in which culture and art serve to develop, strengthen and disseminate the ideas of morality, justice, kindness and humanism throughout the world.
