Secretary General met with Chairman of the Board of the All-Russian Association for the Development of Local Self-Government

On January 20, Secretary General of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly Andrei Belyaninov and the Chairman of the Board of the All-Russian Association for the Development of Local Self-Government Ivan Tsetsersky met in Moscow.

The meeting made a decision to cooperate. The signing of the relevant agreement will take place on January 28 within the meeting of the General Council of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly.

The meeting was attended by First Deputy Secretary General - Head of the General Secretariat of the Eurasian Peoples 'Assembly Svetlana Smirnova, First Deputy Chairman of the Board of the All-Russian Association for the Development of Local Self-Government Sergey Druchek and Head of the Representation of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly in the Kaluga Region (Russia) Stefan Genich.

All-Russian Association for the Development of Local Self-Government (VARMS)

The All-Russian Association for the Development of Local Self-Government (VARMS) was established as a national one in May 2019 and renamed into an All-Russian one in December 2019. Currently, the Association includes all 85 regional associations - Councils of municipalities of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation. The founders of the Association are large and authoritative public organizations of Russia, including the All-Russian Congress of Municipalities, the All-Russian Council of Local Self-Government, the Russian Cities Union, the International Assembly of Capitals and Large Cities, the Association for the Development of Historical Settlements “Russian Province”, the Association of Closed Administrative Territorial Entities of the Atomic industry, the Association of Volga Region Cities, the Union of Cities in the Centre and North-West of Russia. Eurasian Peoples' Assembly

The Eurasian Peoples' Assembly is an international non-governmental organization aimed at forming a social integration model in the name of establishing peace and harmony through the development of multilateral cooperation and public (people's) diplomacy in the Eurasian space.
