Secretary General of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly met with the Executive Secretary of the Commission of the Russian Federation for UNESCO

Andrey Belyaninov, Secretary General of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly, and Grigory Ordzhonikidze, Executive Secretary of the Commission of the Russian Federation for UNESCO, met today. Issues of cooperation and opportunities for new joint projects were discussed.

“At the meeting at the Assembly headquarters in Moscow, we agreed to organize cooperation. This is very important for us. One of the upcoming events may be joint participation in the St. Petersburg International Cultural Forum on November 12-13, where we will hold a panel discussion on the cultural and spiritual foundations of international public relations,” - said Andrey Belyaninov.

“Today we discussed possible topics and format of events under the patronage of the Russian Commission for UNESCO. We are ready to cooperate further, including in the global project on scientific diplomacy initiated by the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly,” - Grigory Ordzhonikidze said.

The meeting also highlighted important aspects of successful cooperation - openness and support for new ideas; in particular, the results of the online event of the Assembly on the International Day of Peace with the participation of UNESCO were discussed.
