On March 2, 2022, the Secretary General of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly Andrey Belyaninov and the Executive Secretary of the Business Council of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (BC SCO) Sergey Kanavsky met at the headquarters of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly in Moscow (Russia)
The meeting was also attended by:
- Alexander Beda, Head of the Representative Office of the SCO DC Secretariat in the North-Western District (St. Petersburg, Russia);
- Olim Alimov, Head of the United Center for Business Cooperation (Beijing, Chongqing, China);
- Svetlana Smirnova, First Deputy Secretary General - Head of the General Secretariat of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly;
- Yulia Petrova, Deputy Secretary General of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly;
- Denis Devyatkin, Deputy Head of the General Secretariat of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly;
- Kira Kovnat, Head of the Department for Cooperation with International Organizations of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly;
- Natalya Dolgova, Head of the Department for Economic Cooperation of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly;
- Alana Kochieva, Manager of the Department for Cooperation with International Organizations of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly;
- members of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly.
The parties discussed issues of bilateral cooperation between the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly and the SCO Business Council, the implementation of joint economic and humanitarian projects at the site of the SCO international organization.
The meeting also considered the issue of signing a Cooperation Agreement between the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly and the Business Council of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization in the near future.
