On 20-26 March, New Delhi, the capital of the Republic of India, hosted the Days of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly. The event was attended by the Chairman of the Association of Russian Diplomats, Mr. Igor Khalevinsky. On the margins of the Assembly Days, there was held a meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to India D.E. Alipov. The Chairman of the Association of Russian Diplomats spoke at the international discussion platform "The Role of Public Diplomacy in Shaping New Models of Eurasian Partnership". Igor Khalevinsky stressed the particular importance of people-to-people diplomacy in the current context, he gave prominence to such forms as the town-twinning movement. Expanded use of the institution of "honorary consuls" is also obviously useful. Also, the Days marked the launching of the international action "People of Artek in India" on the occasion of the forthcoming centenary of Artek. Contacts and cooperation between higher education institutions of both countries were discussed in detail at meetings with the management and students of Delhi University. On the margins of the Days, productive meetings were traditionally held with the UNESCO Delhi Office and the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry. The next session of the International Forum for Spiritual Harmony held jointly with the Institute for Comparative Religious Studies, Gobind Sadan, New Delhi was of great interest. The International Business Forum on Tourism Development in the Eurasian Space, in conjunction with the SCO Year of Tourism, attracted great interest.

The EPA Days helped to significantly expand contacts and identify projects for possible cooperation within the civil societies of the two countries.
