In autumn, Lake Issyk-Kul will host the First Eurasian Games. This was announced by Andrei Belyaninov, Secretary General of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly.
According to him, representatives of dozens of countries from around the world will take part in the games. "This initiative was planned for national sports, but professional athletes are joining in," he explained.
According to Andrey Belyaninov, the participants of the games were offered to organize the Eurasian trade union of athletes, where they would solve their problems and help each other. "When they say that sport should be outside politics, it should be so in fact," noted the Assembly Secretary general.
Last year, the initiative to hold the first Eurasian competitions in national and non-Olympic sports EURASIADA in Yakutia was taken by the Assembly of Peoples of Russia.
