World Quality Day, established in 1989 on the initiative of the European Organization for Quality and supported by the United Nations, is celebrated annually on the second Thursday of November. Traditionally, business events are held as part of the celebration of World Quality Day. This event emphasizes the importance of continuous improvement of the quality of products and services for the sustainable development of society and the state.
In 2020, the “World Quality Day 2020” Forum will be the main national business event in the sphere of quality. The Forum will be held on November 12-13 in an online format.
The purpose of the Forum is to discuss and promote best practices for improving the quality and efficiency of business processes in various industries.
The Forum organizers are the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Roskachestvo, Rosstandart and the Federal Accreditation Service.
The Forum's audience includes heads of organizations, specialists of quality services, production systems, food safety, engineers and technologists, experts of state regulation, representatives of government agencies, public and business associations.
Leading international experts in the sphere of quality will deliver presentations. Among them are managing Director of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization Bernardo Calzadilla-Sarmiento, Secretary of the Technical Committees of the British Standards Institute and International Organization for Standardization Charles Corrie, President of the European Organization for Quality Torolf Paulshus, President of the Asia Pacific Quality Control Organization of Mangalika de Silva.
Maxim Protasov, Head of Roskachestvo, Alexey Abramov, Head of Rosstandart, Nazari Skrypnik, Head of Rosaccreditation, and Nikolay Solomon, General Director of the Federal Centre will attend the Forum for Competence in labour productivity.
Among the Forum speakers are representatives of Russian Railways, Rosatom, Kaspersky Lab, KAMAZ, METRO Cash and Carry, Renault, Coca-Cola and many others.
