The Project "Immortal Memory: Memorials and Monuments" was presented in Bulgaria

September 8 – 11, 2021, during the celebration of the 77th anniversary of the liberation of Bulgaria from fascism, round tables dedicated to the presentation of the international project "Immortal Memory: Memorials and Monuments" were held in Bulgaria, in Sofia and Varna.

Let us remind you that the project "Immortal Memory: Memorials and Monuments" is an integral part of the Megaproject of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly "Immortal Memory".

In Bulgaria, the project "Immortal Memory: Memorials and Monuments" was presented by the Deputy Secretary General of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly Yurius Trakshelis. He also announced that he had started preliminary work on preparing for the publication of the book "Victorious Together" (an album of burials of Soviet and Bulgarian soldiers who fought on the side of the anti-Hitler coalition in Europe) in Russian, Bulgarian and English.

The representative office of Rossotrudnichestvo in Bulgaria supported the round tables. Scientists-historians and public figures of Bulgaria took part in them. During the round tables professors Iskra Baeva and Rumyana Mikhneva, Doctor of Historical Sciences Nako Stefanov, Rear Admiral, Chairman of the Military Seamen Club Pyotr Stranchevski and others discussed the substantive part of the project "Immortal Memory: Memorials and Monuments" and gave their recommendations on its formation.

The events were also attended by Ambassador Counselor of the Russian Embassy Philip Voskresensky, Counselor Alexei Novoselov and Curator of the Public Diplomacy Department of the Rossotrudnichestvo Representative Office in Bulgaria Konstantin Peev.

Jurijus Trakshelis talked to journalists; in particular, he gave an interview to Radio Varna and the Eurocom TV channel.
